In 1861 Eliza was the same age as him - 35 - and was born in Collingham, Yorkshire. They had seven children. He was an ag lab. I'll have another look in 1841 - don't think he's there but might find a few ideas ... Re his names - you may need to obtain his marriage certificate - that way you will have father's name which may find family in 1841. Jill

I'll take a look at Charles Fredericks - he may have been known as that by his own choosing.

Jill, I only know him as Frederick Charles - that is what is on his daughter's marriage certificate.

Had a quick look but cannot see him on 1841 or 1851 - by 1861 he seems to be married - so maybe not much help with parents. Was he always Frederick Charles or could he have been Charles Frederick? I know one or two of mine who kept switching their names around! Jill

This looks like his marriage..........the cert would at least give you the name and occupation of his father.......if known. Name: Frederick Charles Tyzack Year of Registration: 1847 Quarter of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec District: Tadcaster County: Yorkshire - West Riding Volume: 23 Page: 675 Blizer Margerison I'm sure the bride's name should be Eliza!! Sorry - my mistake. I was looking on Free BMD. Will look on family search.org and see if I can find it there. Thank you.

Where are you looking? Jill

Doesn't appear to be WHERE? Civil registration didn't start until 1st July 1837. Before that, you need to find a baptism. If it's not on www.familysearch.org then you will need to check the parish registers which will be in the county records office.
