Well done Robin I would never have thought of looking there. I wonder how many other people haven't been able to find the missing letters. Sadly my Jarvis Harrison still wasn't on the list. Jennie

the typist must have got the original pages out of order, all the missing Es to Ms are after Winifred on the next page

Wow Shirley I wondered where you had gone so fast and hoped I hadn't upset you somehow or I was having a 'senior moment' and hadn't really had a reply from you!! Jennie

Whoops just looked at the page & realised its all one page. i deleted my reply cos was going to amend what i said.clashed with your reply as I did it. Anyway was going to say its a full page so guess your Jarvis wasnt registered .it was in the very early days of registration & lots didnt do it. My grt grandad in 1847 wasnt reg & its pain now & a brickwall to get past that. Shirley

Yes I have come across this on Ancestry, there should be a prompt facilty for reporting such problems . I think it is on the same page.

Hi Shirley This is all on the one page so no pages can be missing. It is a typed page but has been done yonks ago from the original. I didn't really expect to find my Jarvis anyway as all mine who were born in 1837 seem to have arrived in the first half and so not registered. Jennie

Looking on Ancestry for a Harrison birth Dec Q 1837 I found the given names went from E straight to M. Where are all the Freds, Johns, Josephs etc? I find it hard to believe there were no John Harrisons reg in that quarter. Do you think they were missed out when taking the details from the original? Of course, I am looking for a Jarvis!! Jennie
