Thanks OC - I didn't know that you could do that, you learn something new everyday on this site. What have I learned today? - to take a couple of minutes and look at everything on the screen. Unfortunately, I've always been a 'little' impatient. M. Steer |

I am not quite sure if I understand you correctly, but why don't you just use the name search facility on the other person's tree, rather than trawling through a long list of names. Is that what you mean? (And no, I dont know why its sending you back to the As, but I think the GR tree programme has taken on a life of its own, according to my recent experiences!) OC |

to how many pages I can view on a shared tree? I wanted to cross check a relative on one my contacts tree - this contact has hundreds of names on his tree - the name I was searching for begins with the letter S (most of my names seem to be at the end of the alphabet!) Just when I'm almost there I get sent back to the first page (letter A) again. This has happened 3 or 4 times now. Am I wasting my time, is there a secret to 'fast forwarding' pages? It's so frustrating! M. Steer |
