I've got a message telling me to look at my Beta Tree which is a new tree by Genes Reunited. Has anyone else had this message and does it replace the two previous tree versions? Janet. |

Haven't had the message yet, but I've just been to have a look. It appears to be a slightly redesigned version of the present Tree Builder page. It doesn't actually seem to have any additional functions as far as I can see, but newbies may find it easier to understand. You can access it by clicking on Family Tree at the top of this page, and then on ' Click here to access the new Beta tree'. |

'Find in tree' doesn't seem to work. |

Aagghh - not trying that again. Tried searching for John Steel, and it brought up no John Steels but half a dozen people called John M. I have nothing like that in my tree, so I clicked on one of them to see what happened. Bad idea - it changed one of my John Steels to John with no surname and the letter M instead of the year of birth. The original John Steel seems to be OK on the ordinary Tree Builder page, but I won't be trying that again in a hurry. |

I'm sending some feedback to GR. It may be because I'm using an oldish version of Opera, but they should design it to work with all browsers. |

Just tried it with the latest version of Firefox - it's very hard to type anything into the Find in Tree box, because it keeps disappearing, but when I eventually managed, it brought up all the John M's again instead of John Steel. Needless to say, I didn't click on them this time. I hope they'll get their spelling sorted out - it says Photo's in huge letters. |

'Change parents' seems to have vanished, but it's very important if you find that you've given a child the wrong parents - e.g. because there was a second wife you didn't know about. |
