Thanks Maureen. I know of all these, and they're not mine.... John Stewart was a type formatter! Will I ever find a reference to my ancestors???

Sorry no luck there. These Stewarts are listed as property owners in Cork in 1870. Rev. Alex. Stewart Enniskeane, 70 acres. Anne B. L. Stewart Whitegate, 89 acres. Spencer Stewart Springfort Hall, 248 acres.

Maureen, are any of the Stewart family listed - particularly James or John?

Hello Paul I have access to this directory its from an article appearing in the Cork Examiner (the Local Newspaper) in 1864, listing all Subscribers to the Convent of Mercy Chapel. Donations had been received from approximately 150 people whose names and, in some cases, addresses, were recorded.

Does anybody know about County Cork Residents who subscribed to the Convent of Mercy in 1864?
