Confused here ! you say you are looking for the parents of Willam Henry Wilson (?? born in 1834) who married Caroline Shearman in 1839 ?? married at age 5 ??

You also say I FOUND HIS PARTNER WHO IS ALSO ON CERT AS SARAH AND BELIVE SHE IS SARAH COMPTON BORN 9TH FEB 1819 AND MARRIED HIM ON 13TH DEC 1829 - married aged 10 ?? I think you need to sort your dates out and resubmit!! Can we ask also that you don´t type in capitals - for some reason its so much harder to read and tends to put people off (also considered as shouting!!)

Have you found William Henry Willson born 1834 on a later census - do you know where he was born ?

Sorry - you also say I have found his partner (presumably referring to William Henry senior) who is also on cert. as Sarah - what certificate are you referring to here ?? Have you found any of this family in 1841 or 1851 - if so can you give some details.

The certificate is his marriage .he was born in bethnal green as far as aware .was like i said looked up for me but i checked it out on familysearch.com and the info was not correct in as his wife is listed as a charlotte ,which is in fact his grandmother

I am sorry but I am really confused with this - may be I should leave it to someone else to look at - but to me the dates you are giving do not add up. This is from another thread you have posted this morning on the Records board WILLIAM WILLSON/WILSON MARIED CHARLOTTE STROUDE 15TH JUNE 1817, CHARLOTTE BORN 19TH JAN 1794, FOUND ON FAMILY SEARCH , WHEN WAS WILLIAM BORN .THEY WERE MARRIED IN MARLEBONE LONDON You were offered the following census returns 1851 William Wilson Charlotte abt 1797 Watford, Hertfordshire, England Head St Marylebone Middlesex Charlotte Wilson William abt 1794 St Marylebone, Middlesex, England Wife St Marylebone Middlesex Joseph Scott abt 1840 St Marylebone, Middlesex, England Visitor St Marylebone Middlesex Alice Manthe abt 1843 St Marylebone, Middlesex, England Visitor St Marylebone Middlesex 1841 William Wilson abt 1801 Middlesex, England St Marylebone Middlesex Charlotte Wilson abt 1801 Middlesex, England St Marylebone Middlesex Hannah Wilson abt 1826 Middlesex, England St Marylebone Middlesex Does this request relate to the same family you are looking for on this thread - because on this thread you are saying that William Henry Wilson bc1834 had a grandmother called Charlotte. If you are referring to one of the Charlottes above I would have thought she would be too young to be William´s grandmother. I am just concerned that you are finding (or have been given) possible matches from the IGI and are trying to piece them together, maybe incorrectly. The IGI is not a complete parish listing and it may well be that your man is just not listed on there. In my opinion the first thing you really need to do is to find him in the 1851 and 1841 census if possible to make sure you have the correct mother´s name and also try to find out a place of birth. Have you not found him on a later census - does it not show a place of birth? As I said maybe a fresh pairs of eyes is needed on this one - I just cannot see where you have got all the different names from. Sorry.

the problem is that before my grandfather all gt,s are william h willson . so it get everyone confused !! including me i have marriage certs back to 1858 just latly alot of this info has come from kind people giving me look ups ,but some have sent me down wrong track and so i retraced my steps to see if i can find where its gone wrong so gt gt william henry is a marriner by trade and is married to sarah . his father is also william henry willson and he too was a marriner and he was married to charlotte . where confution came in was the 1851 census that has the wrong willam married to charlotte ,ie the gt . he was really married to caroline shearman so -gt william h willson is married to caroline shearman. gt gt william h willson is married to sarah. and gt gt gt william h willson is married to charlotte .

I came back on this thread today as I thought with a fresh pair of eyes I might be able to unravel something! Before I even start you have confused me again -you say - ....where confution came in was the 1851 census that has the wrong willam married to charlotte ,ie the gt . he was really married to caroline shearman Just checking BMDs and find this marriage for Caroline and William Henry in 1858 Marriages Sep 1858 Shearman Caroline Bethnal Gn 1c 537 Willson William Henry Bethnal Gn 1c 537 ... so how can they be confused on the 1851 census - they weren´t even married then!

Elaine Report 26 Aug 2006 07:35

OK - presume this is the 1851 census you are referring to Charlotte Wilson abt 1804 Topson, Devon, England Wife Limehouse Middlesex Sarah Wilson abt 1835 St. Georges, Mexico Daughter Limehouse Middlesex William Wilson abt 1837 All St Poplar, Middlesex, England Son Limehouse Middlesex Williams Wilson abt 1791 Worstead, Norfolk, England Head Limehouse Middlesex William (head) is a mariner address North Street (same as the 1861 census above) - now just so we can follow your logic - why have you dismissed this one as your family. Remember you need to work backwards, rather than finding a marriage on the IGI and trying to work forwards from that. I think this would be the same family in 1841 Charlotte Wilson abt 1801 Poplar Middlesex Sarah Wilson abt 1834 Middlesex, England Poplar Middlesex Wm Wilson abt 1796 Poplar Middlesex Wm Wilson abt 1836 Middlesex, England Poplar Middlesex (cannot read William´s occupaton)
