I have just downloaded PAF 5.2 and am having trouble opening it. The notice says ''The PAF5.EXE File is linked to missing export USP10.DLL:ScriptString_pLogAttr.'' Is this something that should have come with the download, or do I need to have it on my computer already? Many thanks.

Hi Margaret, I don't know much about computers or .dll files, but as you had not had a response, I ran a google search and you can download that one from here:- http://www.dlldump(.)com/download-dll-files_new.php/dllfiles/U/USP10.DLL/1.0420.2600.2180/download.html I would give it a try, and see if it fixes the problem. Good Luck, Lyn

Thank you Ladies. I will try that download and see if it helps. Valerie - I double checked - didn't download the companion....plenty to choose from though; would be easy to get the wrong one. Margaret

Have done the Registry thing - nearly 300 errors, but mainly files being where they aren't supposed to be. Does anyone know what program I need to open the USP10.DLL file?

I have PAF5, and I didn't have any trouble downloading it. To open it, you just double-click on the icon on your desktop.

Mary - when I clicked on the icon, the error in my original paragraph popped up. Seems I was missing something - now that I have it, I don't know what program to use to open it. Even though I now have the missing file, unless I can open/access it, I still can't get into PAF.

I'm no expert, but I don't think dll files are supposed to be opened. Maybe there was a problem with the download. Try deleting the program and downloading it again.

Be very very careful indeed if you are altering registry values - this should only really be done if you know exactly what you are doing because an incorrect deletion or alteration can really mess up Windows.

Mary - it automatically goes to the ''open with'' program when I click on the icon. If I click on the PAF icon, it still tells me I am missing the file. Errol - no problem about the registry. I am always very wary about touching anything I don't know. (Plus it costs to 'fix' the program; I'd rather save my money for certs.)
