The relevant town council ought to be able to provide a list of churchyards, burial grounds, cemeteries and crematoria. |

Hi I am hoping someone is able to provide some knowledge of the Whitchurch, Hereford area. I have a couple of relatives that, from their death certificates indicated that they died in Whitchurch, Hereford in 1867 & 1881. They were also living there previously and their children were born there. Does anybody know of possible burial sites in that area, or where people that died in Whitchurch in the late 1800's would be buried? I can find references to St Dubricus church, but I'm not sure if that would be the correct religion, and census records show that they resided at 'lane, back side of chapel', which suggests a possible alternative, although I cannot see any possible sites on a map. Whitchurch would appear to be a small place, and one of my relatives had listed their place of birth through various census records as Whitchurch, Doward and Milkwall, all fairly close but not much good when I am trying to find their graves. Any help would be appreciated. Sophia |
