I have checked some marriages on ScotlandsPeople but the writting is so bad I can't make out some of the names. How do you send to Scotlands People for copies?? Betty Sorry will have to go out later but will reply to anyone who replies, Thanks!!

Hi Betty, I think the ordered ones are exactly the same as the ones you download. If it is that bad I would contact them and they may be able to help to read it. If not they may credit you. Julie

Hi Betty Twice i have had the same problem. I contacted them and they sent me the copy by post.It was exactly what was on the image but a bit bigger and clearer. Marion

I agree with Julie. The online images are scans of the actual register pages. The registrar producing a copy certificate whether written or photocopy will be looking at the same raw image. It's just possible the actual register page will be a bit clearer than the scanned image, but all the ones I've downloaded have been very good quality. J

Hi Julie, Marion, John and Shaz, I'm back. Just to say I had a problem viewing SP images before and did contact them, they sent me far clearer images. I have been searching the wrong person because I haven't been able to read the name correctly. Thanks for your help but I just can't remember which bit on SP you send to for the image, but many thanks to everyone. Betty
