twins ???

have traced my registration no, and have found another girls name under mine.I know i had a sister who was adopted before i was (i was 14mth old) and our unusual surname is the same, is there any way that she is my twin but was registered at different time.I know my bm wanted to keep the boy(me) so the girl was adopted over a year b4.My am wasn't told that i had a twin only that I had an older sister that my bm kept and a sister that had already been adopted bit garbled i know but it's doin my head in any info greatly appreciated

have you looked on the index for that quarter? You could be on the same local area reigstration but not be twins, I think. You only have so long to register a birth, think its 6 weeks. Are you in contact with any of your birth family to ask them? Rebecca (fellow adoptee)

Hi Shaun, Is the birth in the same year and quarter with the same volume and page number as you? If so, it's probably your twin. Rose

Are you talking about the birth registration? If you were a twin the time would be recorded on your birth cert. nell
