Can anyone please tell me if there is anyway I can find out what happened at an inquest in 1930 Jean sorry I don't mean any inquest...I mean a specific inquest |

You could try the local family history library for that area as they often hold archived newspapers. Quite often you'll find a mention of an inquest hearing in the local newspaper. I've found several of my ancestors recorded in this way. I usually make a note of the date of the Inquest as well as the death and search all the local rags(usually on microfiche) starting at those dates (sometimes the death will be mentioned first with a note saying there will be a Coroner's hearing. Then usually about a week or two later there will be another snippet about the actual Coroner's verdict). |

Thanks Athena I've got the death cert...the accident happened on 3rd...he died on the 4th.....the inquest was on the 6th.....the death certificate registered on the 7th. I knew all about it.....but thought I might find more details from a newspaper.....I tried googling but nothing. I'll try and find wher the nearest FHS is. Thanks again Jean |
