Hello Christine Thanks again for your ideas's, His granddad was a wealthy merchant, I had thought maybe it was to do with the Cloth industry, when you and Ann enlightened me on the meaning of a Sergeweaver. ( although I have no Idea what kind of Merchant) I will keep your ideas in my notes. Thanks again Ella |

Hi all In a 1689 Will one of the son's is to educated and then ( and I think it say's in the Ministry) and trade of a sergeweaver I have tried Googling for the meaning of a Sergeweaver, but it comes up with everthing but the actual meaning. Can anyone please tell me what trade it is? Best wishes Ella |
