Right then. I entered 'George' living York and no dates. On the first image i selected 'York' from the blue coloured links above the image. look for 'you are here,census,1901 Engalnd and Wales..........' That shows York has three main districts. Select Bootham and there are 23 subdistricts plus the workhouse,lunatic asylum and a school. The workhouse has 23 images but my connection is so slow today the first image took 5 minutes to load!! It is under RG13/4438 Glen Glen |

McCague and McKegg on the same page sounds rather fishy to me - but maybe they were brother and sister, having a double wedding? OC |
