i find babies / young children on say 1861 records but not on my 1871 records :( , i came across pauper once and had to look at others ar that address and lots were very young children about 2-6 years ages of 3 of my kids, thats also sad |

What about this one? 1881: Elizabeth Johnson abt 1869 Yorkshire, England Head (only 12 years) York St Giles in Suburbs Yorkshire Occupation, Scholar, Dau of G Johnson, cab proprietor (both father and mother died recently) She has a one year old brother and two servants in the house with her :o(( Merry |

I had one of those, her name was crossed out and died put next to it :( although sad it guarenteed her a place in my tree and my heart as she may have been missed as it was so far back :( |

Hard to say....they must have lived in fear of it :o(( If you type the word ''died'' into the occupation box for Ancestry's 1881, there are several people who ''died Sunday night'' or ''died Monday morning'' etc Merry |
