From the image (1851 Yeaveley, Derby) Mark Wooley (note the spelling - it is quite distinct) Head age 26 Farm labourer b. Bentley Ann ditto Wife age 28 b. Osmaston Hannah ditto Daughter age 2 Hannah Sellars Unmarried age 21 sister-in-law, Dressmaker William ditto Unmarried age 19 brother-in law, Sawyer The last three all born Yeaveley. All living in an unnamed farm cottage on Booth Hay farm (see the previous entry). I'd read step-brother for brother-in-law since Hannah and William look like brother and sister. |

I had a look at the 1841 set you mention, and they don't look like a good match for ages - even allowing for rounding down. It might be worth a look at this ref: Source information: HO107/187/9 Registration district: Bakewell Sub-registration district: Matlock ED, institution, or vessel: 22 Folio: 26 Page: 25 Line number: 11 Tho' I'm not convinced by that one either - just intrigued because there's a Samuel Woolley on the same page. Hi I haven't looked at the images - but have you factored in the age-rounding in 1841? Children were ascribed accurate-ish ages but adults (15+) were rounded down to the next 5 below. So ''age 20'' actually means ''age 20-24'' ''age 45'' means ''age 45-49'' and so on. Christine |

But I can not find all three together on the 1841 cesus the nearest I have the date are all wrong which is HO107/197/6 folio 7 page 10 Could these be the same people or have I missed them completely Thank you Laura |
