I cant find a birth record to order cert - yet i have found a christening record on Family search. This the info i have - On his marraige cert in 1873 he is 21, it lists his father as Stephen Turner, occupation platelayer, married in the Parish of St Matthias Birmingham. Can you help locate the GRO so i can order cert, he is driving me crazy ! I MEAN CRAZY ! it may not be registered - it was not compulsory until middle 1870's did he have sibling ( show on census?) were their births registered?

Handsworth is West Bromwich reg. district. Could this be him? (from ancestry images not partial index) OND 1853 TURNER Robert W. Bromwich 6b 461

Yes it is tricky West Bromwich could be classed as Handsworth it depends how you look at it, do recon that could be him, should i bite the bullet and order that cert ?
