Tara As I cannot see your tree unless you give me permission, then I wouldnt know whether you had living people on your tree or not, with or without permission. The problem comes when someone else sees 'their' relative, still living, as a match on someone else's tree. GR do not actually go around looking for living people on other people's trees without permission (hope that makes sense) but they are VERY quick to act on a complaint from another member - they are terrified of being sued I suppose. If someone has your living rellies on their tree without your permission, then email GR - they will immediately remove them. I personally dont have any living rellies on my tree and as I never open my tree to anyone, it isnt a problem anyway. OC |

If other people have you in their tree and you haven't given them permission then ask them to remove the names that they don't have permission for. If they don't then ask GR to do it for them, they will. Some people just don't seem able to read the rules of the site do they? |

Hi there, Just a quick question. You know your not supposed to put living relatives in your family tree without there consent....well...my sister, my uncle and my auntys have all put me in there tree's without asking me...and i also know of another person who's got a family member there tree too without there consent... My question is how is GR going to know that people havent got people's consents?? And if they had gone about and got there consent then how will GR knopw that they have now gone and got the other persons consent??? Its a bit of a dodgy rule, wouldnt you say?? And if members on this site are supposed to be a watchdog of other members as GR dont monitor the boards, how are they going to know wheather people have or havent asked the other family member???
