Yes she has, but it's not very helpful as it gives his father as Edward (deceased) and there are quite a few Edwar Thompsons as well!! We don't know what his mum was called so we can't even do a census search. Carol |

His death cert should be indexed under the overseas entries on 1837online (then check WW1 army deaths) But it probably won't help you sort out his birth cert. Has your friend got his marriage cert? (if he married) Merry |

How to get death certificates for soldiers killed at the Somme. My friends G. Grandad was killed at a very young age there and she has ahad no joy trying to locate his death cert, she needs it to get his birth cert as there were a couple of dozen thoas Thompsons born in the same year and area as him!!
