Hi All, I have downloaded the information on a 'ww2 Seamen's Medals' from the National Archives, of a relative who was a Merchant Seaman. He lost his life during WW2 in 1940. Looking through the National Archives I found his name in the listing for Date: 1946 - 2002 Catalogue Reference: BT 395/1 It also gave me his discharge number 1031967 On downloading the record, I frankly do not understand it. Is there anyone who may have some knowledge of what the information would mean and how I may be able to gain further information now that I have a discharge number, eg his pouch. Sorry there's so little information to add to this but perhaps it all makes sense to a sailor / ex sailor. Many thanks. Paul
