If you're searching for it on a computer system, you could try using ''TOB*'' which should pick up any names starting with TOB, if the system allows usual wildcards.. Christine |

The name 'Tobe' could also be a female Polish name. I have a 'Tobe' who changed her name to Deborah + an English sounding surname (1901 census). Is yours male or female? |

i think i am in for a long night i soppose he could be called anything. im waiting for my sister to phone with some marriage details then im sure i will find out who he is once and for all thank you everybody for your suggestions they have been a great help Tinks |
