Thanks Reg. That looks like it is him. Has helped me a a brother of his wife. I am not a member of ancestry, I found the 1861 census on the FreeCen web site, but it didn't have the 1851 info on there. If anyone else can find any other info, I would be grateful. Thanks. Matt

You say you have found them in 1861.does that mean you subscribe to Ancestry? Is this them in 1851? Hi everyone, I am trying to find information on: James Seery b: c1821 Ireland James Seery b: c1852 Sunderland James Seery b: c1888 Sunderland as you can see, James is a popular name! Now, as they were unable to read or write, the name is often spelt as SEARY and even SEERIE sometimes. I have found two census returns, one from 1861 and one from 1891 but I am sure they must be more information out there. They all lived in Sunderland, Co. Durham from around 1846 onwards. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Matt
