Thanks Joan and Glen It was in late 1950's, nothing to do with the war. I never think of BMD apart from the English one, will have a go at that and see what i can find, or else will have to write, got a bit lazy where that is concerned - got too used to internet and wanting to know everything 'now'.

What year? There is info on Jersey during the occupation on the Jersey Heritage Trust website at www.jerseyheritagetrust.jeron.je If you click on 'Archives' you can search by name (need to put surname first) You can also e-mail the trust for info Joan

Can anybody please tell me how i go about getting a death cert from someone that died in Jersey. I am not sure if they were on holiday or resident, and would that make any difference?
