I had never met my Nanna as she died 2 weeks after I was born (mums mum) Mum told me bits and bobs about when she was growing up but never a lot about my grand parents so imagine how weird it felt when I come out with sayings like I dont feel properly married cus I got married in registry office mum says dont be daft and I say im not married in the eyes of the lord! (now dont ask me why I think that or why i said it lol) mum looked at me and said omg thats just what my mum used to say. weird or wot have hundreds of other sayings too that mum says comes from her family also I say things and my new cousin says I sound like her dad (my Uncle died in 1998 and i never met him) makes me wonder if these rellies arnt whispering these things to me while imma sleep lol. |

Spooky! Maybe its genetic? I was adopted and on being reunited with quite a large new found family found lots of 'Spooky's that you wouldnt think would have happened, nature vs nuture arguement etc. R x |

Not quite the same but, the memory of something my gran used to say made me smile today. i am going to a wedding~ need a hat.was trying on conservative navy ones, small and discreet when the woman comes out with a red one, and a BIG red one at that! ( madam doesn't think so!!) anyway, a smell crept across my face as i looking in the mirror and i could hear my grannys voice.... ''look at her, red hat , no drawers!'' |

LMAO Jess id have killed myself laughing at that. Rebecca the Uncle sayings are really weird for me cus my dad was adopted too hence why I never met my Uncle (only just found my cousins and dads only remaining brother) And ya know whats so weird about that. Dad was a lorry driver (till he had a head on smash with another lorry and lost half his intestines due to gangrene setting in and has a massive scar on his tum) both my Uncles were lorry drivers!!!!!!! my remaining Uncle had stomache cancer and has a scar just like dads!!!!!!!! My dad and my Uncle that died look like flipping twins!!!!!!! they spoke the same dressed the same have the same mannerisms the way they stand etc they both got upto the same sort of mischief during thier pre teen and teenage yound adult lifes. Weird or wot. Oh and we all share the same chin with dimple in it lol. Luv Angie xxxx |

Can't sleep so having a catch up about what people are writing about... My mum died when I was seven and I can't really remember much about her. I can understand looking like her but apparently, or so I am told by people that do remember her well, the way I respond to some situations is exactly how she would have done! |

I don't know why people find it so difficult to believe that thoughts and memories can be inherited. How does a bird know how to build a nest? The brain stores memories by organic processes - who's to say that in the months before a baby's birth these could not find their way via the umbilical chord into the baby's developing brain? |
