Clare I have just been on that site and the maps on there are great. All my rellies come from Hackney and Bethnal Green and I found a lot of the streets they lived in. Gwen |

You can try googling, but I doubt if you would find much. You'd need to contact Hackney Archives http://www.hackney.gov.uk/ca-archives as they would have info about this road and possibly photos. It appears to have been in the Kingsland Road area. nell |

Hi all I'm trying to find out about Ware St, East London, Where my great grandmother was born in 1890. I believe it would now come under Hackney/ Shoreditch I think is was destroyed during WW2 and therefore no longer exists, I know that Queen Mary visited this road in 1922 and I believe it also had a work house. Can anyone recommend some websites that may have any information on this road? Thanks Claire |
