Hi Val, You could contact the local library for the area in question and see what they hold...I read on here somewhere that librarys sometimes kept cuttings of inquests....If not, they may be able to point you in the right direction.. Deb |

I think I've been told it is very rare for reports of inquests being kept. However the newspaper report is the way to go. I got a copy of the local newspaper report on the inquest of my great grandfather in 1913. In those days the inquest was held very soon after the death (mine was two days after his death) and gave quite a bit of detail. Try the local library for the area concerned. Kath. x Ka |

I don't know the answer but I believe there is often an 'Inquest Report' published in the local papers. Perhaps it would be worth going along this route? Dea x |

As far as I understand (I may be wrong) Inquest papers are only kept for 25 years. The route to go down is to find the report of the Inquest in the local newspaper for the time involved. OC |

I'd be interested in this as i would like an inquest from 1927 but not sure how long the closure is. Cathy |
