Hi i have just been checking some information i have been given and i am a little confused. On the 1901 census it states Elizabeth Lawrence (wife) and Elizabeth Gallaher as head. There is a male Richard Lawrence who is of age to be the husband to the wife and father the children. Could you give me your views please. 1901 ref RG13/465/81/4 Thankyou Jen |

Hi Jennifer It looks to me as if the Gallagher entry is on its own. If you look under 'Head' by her name on top of the page, it looks as if there is a ditto mark by Richard. And the marks at the side of their names seem to show that they are of two different households. What do you think? |

Thanks Maggie the bit that confuses me is when i look at the address columb it looks as though they all live at i think it says 5 Park Crescent. Jen |

Hi again. The number on the schedule is different though. If you go to the previous page you will see other people listed as living at #5 as well. |

hi jennifer, i would say that the lawrence's are staying with elizabeth gallaher i might be wrong about this but the address says 5, park crescent hazel. |
