	Hi, I have come across both these names as place of birth for some of my ancestors. They are down as boatman so must be close to a river or canal? Has anyone heard of them and if so, where are they??? thanks...Anne

There is a pub there called the Broughton Arms and sells Marston ale. It is right by the canal. Member Since: March 2004 Posts: 867 Send Message	Hi Ann Rode Heath is the modern name. Odd Rode is the old parish name. The place is just outside Alsager, which is on the Cheshire/Staffordshire border. There is a canal running though Rode Heath. Tina
