As Ann says,to delete an individual you need to delete the descendants first.Delete the 'wrong un' then put the children/grandchildren etc back. If it is just dates and places you need to alter you can do that without too many problems. It is far easier to do via something like Family Tree Maker,just alter the details for the individuals,but via GR it is a pain at times. For the cost of the programme the time saved and the backup of another tree program is worth it. I hope GR isn't the only place you keep your tree,it's too big a risk to rely on just this site. Glen

If you get the person's details up on screen you have the option to edit them. You can't remove them without removing all the descendants first. Anne

any tips to remove errors from tree without having to delete all.
