It may be of interest to any member who has a Bridget Driscoll born circa 1846 in Ireland, that on todays date - 17th August 1896, a woman of that name was the very first pedestrian to be knocked down, and killed by a motor vehicle in Croydon. I have some information, and will pass it on to any member who contacts me. David |
