Well done Jeanie!!! Isn't it a wonderful feeling when eveything falls into place? I get so excited when I notice a different name being at a relatives home on census night, it's something else to search on the others. Sue |

Since 2004 I have tried to get further back on Ann Taylor c 1838. On her marriage cert, 1858 it said father Samuel and the witnesses were Samuel and Cornelia Taylor. Tried every combanation possible to no avail. Searched again today and thinking that the witness Samuel may be a brother searched marriages around 1858. On same page of one there was an Amelia Esther Page but looking on the census no Amelia. I then found an older Samuel with wife Ann living next door to a Samuel with an Esther. Eureka!! Further looking and on the 1881 they have her as Amelia Esther. This confirms the parents of Ann for me and follows the line of her brother. Very pleased. If you can't find them - keep looking.
