Horatia, I wouldn't ask for the cost split, after all a common rellie and your help with the headstone etc, I just need the second marrige cert and death cert then that completes the set for George, but if i can get the 2nd marriage details via Berwick records i will. Still working on the will, seems worse than his fathers but i will crack it in the end.I'll forward anything i find as always. Glen |

Glen, I sent an enquiry to Fakenham Connect because Charles Waller's death doesn't appear on the GRO index. However, when I applied to them they had a record of the death. However, it is hand written cert but after having NO RECORD of Charles Waller's death, a hand written one was a lot better than nothing. I think George Hay and Maria must have married in a registry office because I have looked through numerous parish registers (Holkham and Wells) hoping to find their marriage. The Wallers often frequented congregationalists church so they could have married at the Congregational/Independent Church at Wells Next the Sea. I belong to the Wells Local History Group and have access to all the C of E marriages there for St Nicholas Church at Wells and the marriage doesn't appear on there. Let me know if you need any further help. Glen, if you get a copy, I don't even mind giving you £3.50 towards the cost of the cert. Cheers, Horatia |

Hi Glen, Yes, I have ordered a certificate through them. Coincidentally it was the death certificate of Charles Waller (father of Maria Waller)! Cheers, Horatia |

I wondered if they supply copy certs, but can't get an answer from the phone number quoted, the website doesn't help much either. Sent an e-mail but no reply, has anyone ever used the office,it covers the Cromer/Wells coastal area. Glen |
