Waveyone Was your granny from Cornwall also? If so, could her name have been Trerice, do you think (imagine this said in a Cornish accent) OC

My grandmother was born in 1893 her name was Maud J Hammond, she married in 1914 to a Frank Gimber and they had two children and there is no trace of her or her family. I have placed a few messages on this board about her and this is the only new lead I have................ both the children were sent to live in Scotland as Maud was said to be an unfit mother, they both believed their parents to be dead, we moved to deal in the 1950 as my father was in the marines and my mother was reunited with her mother again, but there was alot of bad fellings and they lost contact. I cannot trace any of mauds family.

Both Trice and Gimber are unusual names so I hope you will be able to find her.

I have a new lead in tracing the mystery of my lost grandmother. I have contacted my cousin, who I have'nt seen for over 40 years and she told me that when my grandmother lived in the Alms houses in deal her name was Maud Trice and not Gimber but I still cant find anything about her death, which would have been late 1960 or early 70.........
