Like Salty Brine said I think the local library would be your best bet. The whole area is a mining and mill town so it will be difficult to put them in one area, unless you have a bit more info from the census maybe,which would give you an address. Do try the library, I have found them only too pleased to help. Gloria :-)))

Most of my family worked in the cotton and coal industries in the Bolton area. Is is possible to find out whereabouts they worked?
