I regularly check and answer the adoption board on 'missing you' because so many kind people have helped me in the past regarding adoption questions... it's my turn to help others and point them in the right direction. I do on occasion get a thank you for responding but not many. Cheers Gerry |

Hi Thanks for the replies. The reason i asked is that someone posted a message on there 5 years ago, looking for me!! I posted a reply when i first saw it, some 3 weeks ago, but nothing back. Most messages have got under Category - Missing People. This one has got Army. I was wondering if the Salvation Army used the site or if it is the forces. Due to circumstances, i cant quite make my mind up if i want to be found, but got rather a shock when i saw it. |

I also found that site months ago (before I joined here) and posted messages on it searching for missing rellies but have never had a reply. Ive put the same message on at least 20 sites now but as yet have had no reply I come on here and find the two I knew about from the start within days (not that I got a reply cus my new cousin thought i was some weirdo cus she thought my dads name was Harry lmao) Tho she did reply eventually, and my other cousin from my other Uncle didnt know dad existed at all (her dad had never told her bout my dad) So I was firing Q's at her and she was saying that is all correct who are you? lol which was pretty funny but scary as well (didnt want to upset anyone ya see) So my point is (sorry i waffle a bit lol) is post everywhere but to me this is the best site for finding rellies living and deceased. Good luck I hope you find who your looking for xxx Angie xxx |

I have left a bunch of genealogy messages at missing-you, and haven't received a single reply in 2 years. Posted messages are catalogued by Google, but unfortunately Google doesn't return the precise page on which the message is posted, but just the top page for the appropriate geographical area. |
