I'm looking at the 1871 census for the Freeman's living in Brent Pelham. There are 3 families with the name Brett, (Ann, in the 1st family being my Gt Grandmother!), I'm sure they're all related just haven't yet worked out exactly how. The 4th family with Nathan and Mary Skinner(?) as 'Head' and 'Wife' have Mary Brett aged 7 listed as a daughter-in-law and Nathan Brett as a son-in-law... Any explanations/theories welcome! Many thanks Lyndsey |
