birth certificates before 1837

Afternoon everyone, is it possilble to get birth certificates for people born before 1837, if so how? many thanks, Sally

There were no birth certificates before civil reg introduced in July 1837. Before that people relied on baptism entries to prove age. You need to find parish registers.
