Does anyone from the area know if there is still a large cemetery in Castleford please, as my grandmother was buried there in 1952 and if so, how can I find out the plot number of her grave - she had no headstone? Stella |

Give us the name Stella and I will have a look. The site can be a bit confusing. It can be useful just to type the surname you might find others if they came from the area. Bob |

Robert - thank you so much !! How on earth did you do it - yes that is her. Now I'll tell you why I want to know. My mother never could afford a headstone, so hubby and I are at long last going to get her one - will sort it when we go to Yorkshire some time soon. Thank you so much. Stella |

Snowdrops. Don't forget the online search burial registers as all the names have not been transcribed into the other search. This is one good thing Wakefield council have done. I found five infant death Great aunts/uncles on it. ( bit sad that though) Bob |
