Firstly sorry if i'm being overly talkative tonight, it's 2.30 am here and I just don't want to stop lol I just found out that my great gran took in a child that was born to a servant girl in the place she worked. I've got the first name, and the last name is my nana's and I know it would have been around the 1920's in brighton area of Sussex. I've not had to research an adopted relative before and would love hints or tips. Thanks |

It's ok Philip, it's 10.37am here, so you're not keeping anyone awake! There's a thread a couple of threads below this one which suggests it may be useful for adoptive family members. I haven't actually got any adoptees myself, but it's not an impossibility! |

Well there was no official adoption until the late 1920's so you will probably find that she was just taken in as a family member and that was that. What did you want to find for her? |
