hi, I checked the full image and came up with the 2 you have. I think mine is the one aged 79 as she was born in 1879. all the other certs I've ordered have been 6b so am wondering iwhy this one would be 9d am going to check for my parents marriage as they were married in 1959 and see what their volume is. Thanks Linda

I just googled......Walsall is 9b after 1930 (as Elaine said), not 9d or 6b!! Merry

Where did you get your information from - have checked the complete images and the only entries I can find are 1959 1st quarter Rose Wilkes aged 70 9b 908 or 1959 1st quarter Rose Wilkes aged 79 9b 953

Have you considered than once you get past about 1930 (coming forward) lots of reg district numbers change. Have a look and see if you can spot another one for Walsall at a similar date. If it's the same, I would go with the new ref! Merry

I've found what I think is my great grandmothers Rose Wilkes death in Jan Q 1959 but it has the volume number as 9d when it should be 6b as it's Walsall Staffs. I'd like to order the cert but am not sure about the volume number should I just leave it as 9d or 6b as it should be? thanks Linda
