Pleased you enjoyed it Ang, and how lovely to meet Muriel, a real live resource you wouldn't find on the internet. That's what happens when you get off your chair and actually do some fieldwork - well done you! Jay |

Well what a great afternoon I had. The local community are trying to bring back the annual carnival to this area, all the kids were dressed up & having fun etc The best part was having a chat with 93 year old Muriel who remembered my Dad & my Grandmother :-) . She had some real stories to tell about being bombed during the blitz. Also gave a quote to the local paper , so this could be my 5 minutes of fame! |

Do you have a connection with Rose Yard / St Augustines area of Norwich? This afternoon St Augustines church will be holding a display of life in these areas. I think it will be repeated in September if you can't make today. I am very happy as my Dad was born in Rose Yard :-) |
