I think that you will need to buy the certificate. Penrose is quite an unusual name so maybe he was known as George? My grandfather was Horace but know as George throughought his life, including his marriage and death certificates. The certificate should show his occupation and father's name which might help you to decide if it is the same person. |

The only info available to you will be the register of the marriage index. If you want to see anymore that this, you will have to buy the certificate. |

is there any way of searching that will allow me to read a specific volume and page number of the marriage registers uk. i have found a strange thing in my search for a george betts marriage to evelyn snare. there is no record of marriage for george but found evelyn. here is the weird thing - george isn't there but penrose taylor betts is for the same entry number and place. hence my reason for wanting to find a way to take a look! Can anybody help me? Kym |
