To Linda - I understand and sympathise with what you are saying, but at least through your hard work and enthusiasm you will be able to record the true details of your family and pass them on to the next generation - they may not want it at the moment, but I'm sure they will appreciate your hard work one day. One thing doing the f tree has taught me, is that in years gone by people didn't talk about their families or where they came from - my great uncle didn't know his grandmother had been married twice and that she had two sets of children by different fathers. Keep going, its worth getting it right, better late than never. |

had the same problems Spent 2 days searching for my Dad's cousin who my Mom told me was called Thomas.He was killed in WW2 his name was actually Harold. My mom's Aunty Patty turned out to be actually aunt Martha oh and one of my rellies emigrated to the USA but they don't know which one, Thanks mom and dad your help is invaluable Linda |

or when they do tell you something its wrong !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! scream lol my dad told me his dads name was Harry was it heckers like lol then again my cousin thought my dads name was Harry (hed been called that since he was a nipper his flipping names really Fred !!!!!!! ) Why do they do it ive got a aunt (whos passed away) whom I always called Aunty Jean and another Aunt I always called Auntie Betty that wernt their names at all!!!!!!!!!! thier names were Ivy & Frances!!!!!!!!!!! took me flipping ages to find thier births (then when I told my other Aunt she said oh didnt ya know!!!!!!!!!!! screammmmmm no Auntie I didnt lol) dont ya just love these elusive rellies xxx Luv Angie xxxx |

Why do finding out about different families drive a person mad especially when they are your own and parents etc never tell you anything. |
