Hi Yvonne & Jools sorry took me so long to reply had unexpected visitors! Mirfield would come under the Wakefield district I think. Sounds like my John just didnt think he was born that early. |

Hi Jools, Dont have my brain switched on today thats why I havent ordered Daniels B/C already....duh!! Start again sorry. Is there no other John Swift of that age in Yorkshire? I didnt know they rounded the numbers up that much. Thanks for that. Kate |

You'll struggle to order a BC for daniel - civil registration didn't start till mid 1837. Age will be about right. 1841 rounds ages DOWN. 0-14 are as stated, then 15-19=15, 20-24=20 etc. |

Daisy - Rotherham's too far south I think. Wakefield or Horbury is more likely area. |

If you do a sibling search and find a john (1822-1826) and a martha (1817-1821), then they are with daniel on the 1841 |

Any idea which bit of country he was born? Have you got him on any census? There's one in yorkshire of the right age who is a brick maker (with what could be a brother & sister) but he would seem to be parentless. |

Hi, Could anyone do me a look up please in 41 & 51 for a John Swift born c1798 married to an Elizabeth. Had at least one son called Daniel born 1820. Sorry this is all I have to go on. Could anyone possibly look for a marriage for me between i would say 1816-1820 i have tried looking but cant find anything. Thanks for any help given |
