	I just did a blanket search on Ancestry for a very unique surname in my tree just to see if anything had been added recently. Anyway a match came up in the 1841 Scotland Census which was totally unexpected but I can't get to the original to see if it is a transcription error so what should I do that won't cost loads of money?

	hiya pippa, i 'think' that you will have to use scotlands people, as it has something to do with them not releasing images to ancestry, try asking if someone can search on records for you Julie

	Yes, Pippa, the Scottish authorities will not licence ancestry or any other website except Scotland's People to provide the actual images, so you will have to look it up on there. Still, it doesn't cost too much for a few credits. Or you could try on FreeCEN to see whether the transcription on there is the same as ancestry's (if it is on there, of course). Worth a try, I should think. (Just go onto FreeBMD and there is a link to FreeCEN) Kate.
