Thanks Elaine, from the Genoot list it looks like it's got lots for Sussex and Ayrshire which are two of my main focal points, now I've just got to find the mobile so I can call and order lol |

You see quite a few county/parish records CD´s on ebay - I haven´t used any so cannot comment from a personal point of view, but have heard others say they have not been very useful and have been difficult to navigate. The BIVRI is produced by the Church of Latter Day Saints - and the current version is version 2 and comprises of 16 discs. I paid 20 pounds for mine a year ago but I think someone said they are now 21-22 pounds. These also come up on ebay but watch the price - I have seen them go for more than 20 pounds for some reason (might as well buy them new from the LDS). If they cover an area you are interested in then they are a valuable source of parish record information - have been particularly useful to me for Dorset which is covered quite well. Plenty of people on the boards will do lookups for you if you place a request. |

British Isles Vital Records Index - set of 16 discs produced by Church of latter Day Saints. Similar to IGI. Coverage varies -. http://www.genoot(.)com/downloads/BVRI2/ click on the blue numbers alongside the counties and it will show which parishes it covers. Cost approx. 20 pounds. |

Can't see a birth in shortened ancestry bmd for a Charltotte Cosham, Lewes, 1838, but there are 2 female Cosham births registered there in 1838. One of them could be the Charlotte Cosham (Cotham) I think your best course of action is to get the marriage cert. The fathers' names would be on it. |

Charlottes POB is Lewis on the birth record. and i think it's Southover And a shortened form of Sussex on the 71 Lucy is definately lucy i checked the original. I think the Cotham is the best bet. But she's definately going on the list of certs needed lol |

Charlotte was often shortened to Lottie could Lottie be mistranscribed as Lucy. |

Looking at registration district for Lewes, this looks like Charlottes place of birth (bit mangled on 1871 census) Southover Without. |
