I have just recieved a birth certificate for a relative of my sister in laws. We dont know anything else about this lady or her family, so im trying to get as much info as I possibly can. Im going to see my sister in law at the weekend and am hoping to give her as much info as possible. I am trying to find the marriage for her parents and any siblings if possible. Does anyone know of a quick way I can find this info on Ancestry or do I just have to trawl through each and every year? I dont mind doing this but thought Id ask for the expertese of others first.The lady I have the birth cert for was born in 1928 in Essex Kind Regards Jody |

Do you know if there were any other children? If so it could make it a bit quicker if you search back in the births first for any others with that mother's maiden name. (Started indexing maiden names in 1911) Hopefully the parents married within a year or so of the first birth so the marriage trawl would be shorter. But the simple answer is YES you will have to trawl quarter by quarter - go and make some coffee!!!! Anne |

I have no idea if she had any siblings at all!! The name of the lady in question is Joyce Doreen Williams dob 4th May 1928 in Dagenham, Essex. Her mother is Emily Louisa Williams nee Horn and her father is William Alfred Williams. Thanks everyone |
