Not sure about that Peter. Mary was born about 1778 and Rebecca 1825. That would make Mary 47 (I think) when she had Rebecca. Don't think I would want to put any money on that! Cheryl

If I gambled, my money would be on Mary Wilson being Rebecca's mother Peter

Thank all for you help. I have just had a look at 1851 and it is the same family, John 1823 must have been at sea. I am going to send for Wilson's birth certificate so I can get Rebeccas maiden name, hopefully this will help me a little further, and maybe work out who Mary Ellen Wilson was. Cheryl

Hi I have just been trawling the births for some definate dates so Ican order birth certificates, my gr gr grandad was called Wilson Mitchell and is the only birth date Ican find. Looks like this is going to be another skeleton popping out of the cupboard. Going to take a look at the census now thanks very much, I will get back shortly when I have had a look. Cheryl

Can anyone tell me if I have any chance of finding a marriage between John Mitchell and a Rebcecca. They were both born in Ireland (not sure were abouts) but moved to Fleetwood Lancashire and had their family there. Their first child was born 1845 according to the 1861 census RG 9 3150, any help would be very much appreciated. Regards Cheryl
