Probably if you google you can find out which parishes/towns are covered and over what time frame and then see if you are likely to get your money's worth. Apart from the familyhistoryonline site, these databases are searchable free at lots of archives. I've usually saved up and done bulk surname searches when I am at the Family Records Centre. nell |

www.familyhistoryonline.net has a lot of burial records. You can buy as little as £5 worth of credits if they have anything that looks interesting. I think the credits last 6 months and it only costs 6p to look at each search result so your fiver goes a long way. You can check out what coverage they have county by county. |

hiya, i recently purchased BIVRI, and whilst I have found some records, i have found more for other people (something to do with sods law) some county coverage is better than others, liecestershire isnt covered very well at all only 611 births/christenings and 87 marriages, but compared with say derbyshire 220,759 births and 52,885 marriages I havent got the NBI, but am thinking of purchasing it, as I think it will benefit me at some point the BIVRI, cost me £22, and I ordered it thro LDS order hotline in birmingham, UK if you require phone number for credit cards/order hotline, then i can post it for you HTH Julie |

Hi, how useful are the BIVRI and Burial records to have? I dont like to ask one person for too many looks on those, so i kind of limit myself to certain names. Obviously if i had my own discs i would look for all my names, so i know it would be useful to have. Also i know how much these can cost, so if i had to get one which one would probably be more useful to me? Many thanks |
