Hi Izzy Apart from the advice already given - you could print out relevant part of tree - scan it into pooter and send via email! Bit longwinded I know but saves typing out lots of info if you go down that route. Good luck with your hot match Kaz :o)

Spend £15-£20 on a programme like Family Tree Maker (FTM),exchange e-mail addy and send a PDF report for the branch of your tree that links you. The expense of the software is worth it for the back up facility alone,GR is not the best place to keep all your tree info, and has the disadvantage that you reveal all or nothing. You can save the info from FTM to disc so if you have PC problems everything is safely backed up. Glen

Just email the info you want to let them know. Rod

Izzy, If you click on My Account Details on the left. there is an option to hide living relatives. If you select 'yes' then anyone you share your tree with shouldn't see anyone born in the last 120 years who doesn't have a date of death. I don't know if that would ease your mind, but it's probably worth knowing anyway. Gordon

Hello, The only way you can do that unfortunately is to send them a report from your software of the relevant people. This would involve exchanging email addresses.

I'm new to family tree building, i have just been contacted by someone who wants acess to my tree, from previous messages from this person i believe we have a strong hot match, is there a way of revealing just a part of my tree to this person.? I'm very protective of my tree and have many living rellies on it, and obviously do not want them added to a strangers tree without their consent. please advise. Regards Izzy
