If your family were CofE and you are a determined systematic sort of person, you should be able to find the image of their Baptism record on: http://cityark.medway.gov.uk/ if you follow the link on the left called ''Parish Registers Online''. I haven't had occasion to hunt there for a while, but you need to note down the image numbers you've looked at because they aren't labelled with date info - just a sequential number. The other thing to watch out for is that double-page spreads are the norm, so don't think you've seen all there is to see on an image if you've only looked at one column of names. Christine

Would the Diggins you are looking for be this one? Birth Charles Herbert Diggins Year of Registration: 1902 Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar District: Bromley County: Greater London, Kent Volume: 2a Page: 502 If was born late 1901, then his birth registration would have been Jan to Mar 1902

Aha - you're here as well !!! I replied on your other thread :)) Don't worry, we all had to start somewhere & sometimes we tend to forget that. Let's see if we can find the info you've already got but can't get your computer to read. The names James Clarence Humble, born c1882 Charles Herbert Diggins, born c1901 Emily Whitbread born c1905 Were these births you had found? A rough idea of where they were in the cuntry would be helpful. To reply on the thread, click add reply, do your typing, then click update message. Jools

Hi Doreen It looks as if you might have saved something in a format only used on websites. You could try hovering your mouse over it and RIGHT clicking, then select 'open with'. You might find a program that will read it. But sorry I'm not an expert. Don't feel silly - its the only way to learn, by trying things out. To reply to this message look just above it and click on 'add reply'. If you want to come back to it tomorrow click on 'your threads only' and it will come up to the top. Good luck - I'm off to bed soon. Anne
